Towing Services & Towing Rates

Free Towing Services and Subsidised Towing Rates

Motor vehicles have been breaking down ever since they were invented and if a repair was not possible, then a recovery or tow was usually required. In early days, this was often achieved by pushing or pulling it home. Many of the first vehicle repair shops had been bicycle repairers or blacksmiths, and they quickly adapted to recovering their customers' disabled vehicles. In addition, the motorists were often capable of carrying out minor repairs themselves, but as vehicles become more complicated, this becomes harder. Nowadays, vehicles are towed to a garage of choice for specialized diagnosis and repair.

AA Kenya pioneered this concept in Kenya and we remain the market leader in this field. AA Kenya has a countrywide towing network with representation in over 26 branches. The services are easily accessed through the nearest branch office.

We offer free towing once a year to eligible members. Once a member’s free towing benefit has been exhausted during the current year, the member further enjoys special towing and recovery charges at discounted rates. All towing is carried out at AA’s risk.

Free towing is available within City / Municipal / Town boundaries where AA Kenya has operational offices.

The AA of Kenya was founded in 1919 by Lionel Douglas Galton Fenzi as the Royal East Africa Automobile Association. Its objectives and aims were to promote and safeguard the interests of motorists by providing information and advise about the purchase, maintenance and repair of vehicles, negotiating attractive insurance premiums, road mapping and the setting up of petrol depots.
